One thing is very clear folks, The Technical Tides Are Shifting Faster Than We Are! When the early form of modern computer technology was first introduced into the workforce there was only the initial learning curve. The initial learning curve was the one that adjusted people from doing things the way that they used to be done BEFORE computers into doing things the way that they were now done AFTER the inclusion of computers. A worker might have had to learn a little bit about software every so often, and hardware upgrades came at a slow and steady pace. Confused? Here ‘s a little help. These early hardware upgrades did not have a huge impact on the way that software was made or ran either. Society has now reached a point where hardware upgrades are being thrown at us so quickly that people working in some of the more tech savvy industries might have a never ending learning curve! Many people in some industries find themselves returning back to enroll in update courses at the local college. Those that can self teach effectively are always at the tech section in the local book store looking for new manuals.
Maybe things will taper off soon; things always taper off eventually don’t they? They might, but the truth is that even when technological advancements in modern computing reach a plateau, this plateau stage does not seem to last nearly as long as it used to. Plateau periods in hardware advancements used to last for years, now we’re lucky if one piece of hardware stays top of the line for a few months.
It is important to remember that modern computing technology is a huge part of many industries in today’s world. Industries that shied away from the early forms have since cashed in on the more cost effective nature of modern forms of such technology.
